-and NOW from our SPORTS DESK - Athletic Director Mike Papenberg reportsGood DAY Palmyra, We had a great end to Homecoming Week with our football team destroying Lindenwold on a beautiful October Saturday.  Here is a look at how our teams performed last week:

The Football Team secured their third win in a row at Homecoming on Saturday crushing Lindenwold 40-0.  Another shutout for the Panthers defense was led by Stephen Hankey.  The defense had two takeaways from Chace Mulherin and Jimmy Lindsay which created extra opportunities on offense. 
John Latimore IV led the offense with 3 passing touchdowns and 1 rushing touchdown.  Mikey Monroe chipped in with a pair of touchdowns while Evan Montgomery, Jaleel Latimore and Ja’Mes Brown all caught a touchdown on the afternoon.  The Panthers are now 3-4 on the season and will be back in action on Friday at Buena at 6PM.  For hIS performance, John Latimore is up for the Courier Post Player of the Week.  Please vote for John

The Palmyra Marching Band & Color Guard did not have any competitions this week but did perform brilliantly at halftime of Homecoming.  Here’s video of their performance for those that missed it!

The Boys Soccer Team had another huge week keeping its win streak alive.  The boys opened the week with a 2-1 senior night victory over Maple Shade High School.  Nolan Falicki tied the game in the 1st half and Pat Broadbelt scored the game winner in the 2nd half.  Deakon Haines made 3 saves in goal to earn the win. 
The boys then defeated Group 3 Burlington Township on Wednesday 3-1 to win their 7th game in a row.  Jaxon McCamy, Cole McCamy and Justin Butler were the goal scorers for the Panthers.  Kian Briant provided 2 assists.  Deakon Haines made 3 saves in goal to earn the win.  The Panthers are now 9-3 on the season and enter the week ranked #17 in South Jersey with 2 tough games against top 10 competition this week.

The Girls Soccer Team went 1-1 on the week.  The girls opened the week with a 7-0 win over BCIT Medford.  Mikayla Mangano scored 3 goals and had 1 assist.  Jillian Hines had 2 goals and Ellie McCarron had 1 goal and 2 assists.  Jada McCloskey also scored a goal for the Lady Panthers.  Maeve O’Connell and Elsie Kenson each helped shutout the Jaguars in goal. 
The girls then lost a competitive game to Holy Cross on Wednesday.  Ellie McCarron and La’Nya Muldrew-Bracero scored 1st half goals to put the Lady Panthers up at halftime.  Holy Cross pulled away late to win the game 5-2.  The girls are now 10-2 on the season and will host Cinnaminson on Wednesday in their next game.

The Field Hockey Team had a 1-1 week.  After losing to Moorestown Friends on Tuesday, the girls defeated Pemberton on Thursday, 2-0.  The girls improved to 4-7 on the season and will travel to Burlington City for their next game.

The Girls Tennis Team went 0-2 on the week.  The girls lost to Buena 1-4 on Tuesday.  Jordyn Carter and Karly Klipple won their 1st doubles match (6-3, 4-6, 10-8).  The girls lost to New Egypt on Thursday 1-4.  The 2nd team doubles partnership of Jasmine Martinez and Olivia Gallagher won their match (6-3, 6-1).

The Boys & Girls Cross Country Teams ran at the South Jersey Open on Saturday.  Owen Jacobs placed 48th at the South Jersey Open and ran a personal best. Other great times were run by TJ Peltz, Carter May and Jack Timlin.  The Panthers will run at BCIT Westampton on Tuesday.

==================MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS======================
The Middle School Girls Soccer Team for their 6-0 win against Promise Charter on Monday. Goalie Emma McNab shut out all attempts on goal and of the 6 goals scored, Aurora Previch had 1,  CoCo Brzycki had 3, and Meghan Austin had 2.  The girls then defeated Moorestown Friends 3-0 on Wednesday.  Meg Austin scored 3 goals and CoCo Brzycki had 2 assists.  Goalie Emma McNab earned the shutout victory.

The Middle School Boys Soccer Team beat Moorestown Friends 7-1 on Wednesday.  Jaxson Ridgway and Jesus Analco-Martinez both had a hat trick on the day.  Aaron Arevalo scored his first goal of the season, Santiago Analco-Martinez with the assist. The defense was led by Harry Pfeiffer, Logan Collins, Santiago Analco-Martinez, and Ben Dickinson who all put together another solid performance.  Ethan Priest with an outstanding win in net.  Moorestown Friends' lone goal came on a penalty kick.  Great team effort!
