-and NOW from our SPORTS DESK - Athletic Director Mike Papenberg reports Good Day Everyone, we hope you all got a chance to get out & vote today!  Here’s how your scholar athletes performed last week- come out & support them in the playoff games they are entering.

Yee-Haw!  Congratulations to our Palmyra Marching Band & Color Guard as they ride off into the sunset after their historic season.

  • At Saturday’s Cavalcade of Band Championships, our band came home with a 2nd place finish out of 15 bands.

  • They scored a 90.65, just missing out on the school record!

  • The band also finished second for Best Visual

  • Best Effect,

  • Best Color Guard

  • AND third for Best Music.

Of the 40 plus “A” class bands of all sizes and divisions at all three Cavalcade championships this weekend, our small but mighty Marching Panthers beat all but 2 of them.  They also completed their year with all 1st and 2nd place finishes for the entire season, also a group first.  They were only defeated by 2 bands in their class all year, and notably defeated larger top program schools such as Lenape, Rancocas Valley and Burlington City.  They won for Best Music, Best Effect and Best Visual numerous times as well.  Congratulations to the band & guard again on a great performance and a historic season.  Click here for their championship performance video.
