Here is a look at how our Panther teams did last week:
Congrats to our PHS Boys Soccer Program on their awards at the SCANJ All State Banquet in Edison! Connor McCann, Cole McCamy and Jaden Jennings all received Honorable Mention All-State for the South Section & Coach Pap was awarded both the South Section & NJ State (Small School) Coach of the Year. A well-deserved honor for the players after a great 4-year soccer career at PHS! Congrats to the boys -check out the vvv picture!
The Girls Basketball Team went undefeated on the week, winning both of their games. The girls opened the week with a 49-29 win over Pennsauken Tech. Amanda Gilmore scored 12 points to pace the Lady Panthers. The Girls then crushed Doane Academy on Friday, 58-11. Jillian Hines led the offense with 16 points and Ava Sims added 15. The girls are now 6-1 on the season.
The Boys Basketball Team had a huge week going 3-0. The Boys opened their week with a 65-48 win over Doane Academy. Jesahi Robinson had 26 points to lead the attack. Sam Adams added 15 and John Latimore chipped in 10 points on the win. The boys then defeated Maple Shade Friday by the score of 64-43. Jaleel Latimore led the offense with 25 points. Da’Shon Edmonds scored 17. The boys finished off their perfect week with a 50-37 win over Pennsauken Tech on Saturday. This time it was John Latimore’s turn to lead the offense with 17 points and Da’Shon Edmonds had 16 points. The boys improved their record to 5-5.
The Wrestling Team went 3-1 on the week. The squad opened the week with a 53-23 win over BCIT Westampton. Blake Wood, Jose Hernandez, Chace Mulherin, Justin Lopez, Aidan Hines, Burak Sayin, Joe Garrison, Deakon Haines and Ryan Riley all recorded wins on the mat. The team defeated Burlington City and Riverside on Saturday. In the 53-22 win over Riverside, Sy’Keem Muse, Jose Hernandez and Joe Garrison picked up wins on the mat. The team improved to 5-7 on the season.
The Winter Track & Field Team boys and girl's throwers competed on Thursday against the best throwers in the State and Nation at Cherokee High School. In the Boys competition Joe Barben placed 17th. The terrific trio of sophomore girls put on a show in the Girls JV competition. Zaria Welch placed 3rd, Olivia Lynch placed 10th and Phoenix Leaks placed 12th.

The MS Boys Basketball Team beat New Egypt on Friday, 53-12. Points were scored by:
· Gabe M. - 3 points | Kwame C. - 19 points | Allen P. - 6 points | Mike A. - 7 points | Alex K. - 2 points | Bennett H. - 16 points
The MS Girls Basketball Team lost a close game 21-18 to New Egypt. Brooke Strobel led the scoring with 8 points.
