Charles Street School celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. Day this year in many ways. The most successful effort was a project that was part of the Library|Media Exploration of MLK.
Students were encouraged to share their own dreams, they were provided with a template & string to launch their ideas into the clouds. The result: magical. Students from all CSS grades, many of whom are 100% remote, shared their thoughts & dreams to be displayed in the windows of the building.
Ms. Tyler did an extensive presentation on books about Martin Luther King's life for all grades. She included our district's personal connection to the Civil Rights Leader, Dr. Clarence Jones, a 1949 graduate of PHS!
This closeup shows a dream that many of us (and many fellow students) share: "for my school to all be in person all the time no matter what." If we socially distance, follow this student's dreams, and "have the vacks seens shots" hopefully this dream will come true soon.
