International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Women's Day was first observed on March 19, 1911, in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. Campaigns across Europe against WWI inspired women in other countries to adopt International Women's Day. The date of observance moved to March 8 in 1913.
Today's Google Doodle Video shares the theme of Women helping Women. As the day closes, know that we will continue to celebrate Women in History here all this month. Got an unusual one to share? Please reach out here & put Women's History Must Have in the subject line!

IWD 2021 campaign theme: #ChooseToChallenge
A challenged world is an alert world. Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world.
From challenge comes change, so let's all choose to challenge.
