At last night's Virtual January Board of Education Meeting, the winners of the Governor's Educators of the Year were honored.
Our winners were nominated and selected for this prestigious honor by a committee of teachers, parents and administrators. Included in this committee is always the previous year's honorees. The 2022 Palmyra Honorees have now been submitted as candidates for the county-level awards.
- Charles Street School Teacher of the Year: Jennifer Allen
- Ms. Allen teaches 5th Grade and has been with the district for 11 years (9/14/2010)
- Charles Street School Educational Services Professional of the Year: Donna Aaronson
- Ms. Aaronson is a paraprofessional and has been with the district for nearly 11 years (11/1/2007 – 6/30/2009 and 2/1/2013 to present)
- Palmyra Middle School Teacher of the Year: Maria Keefe
- Ms. Keefe teaches Science and has been with the district for 5 years (9/1/2016)
- Palmyra Middle School Educational Services Professional of the Year: Amanda Fox
- Ms. Fox is a paraprofessional and has been with the district for 2 years (1/1/2020)
- Palmyra High School Teacher of the Year: Ken Miller
- Mr. Miller teaches Social Studies and has been with the district for 21 years (11/13/2000)
- Palmyra High School Educational Services Professional of the Year: Jennifer McCoy
- Ms. McCoy is a School Counselor and has been with the district for nearly 2 years (2/1/2020)
