Hope everyone enjoyed the snow over the weekend. Here is a look at all that our student-athletes accomplished last week:
The Girls Basketball Team had a 2-1 week. The girls opened up the week with a 68-54 win over Florence High School. Sophia Wilburn and Lauren Gilmore each scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Panthers. Cadence Anderson chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. On Wednesday, the girls defeated Doane Academy 57-32. Angelina Sauls led the scoring with 18 points while Sophia Wilburn scored 16 and Cadence Anderson finished with 15. The Girls closed out the week with a tough loss at New Egypt on Friday, 37-27. Sophia Wilburn and Cadence Anderson each scored 9 points to lead the ladies. The girls enter play this week with a 9-2 record on the season. They will take on Bordentown High School tonight at 530PM. The Boys Basketball Team had a perfect 3-0 week! The boys started the week off with a strong win over Delran High School, 49-26. Chris McCarron led all scorers with 20 points while Anthony Sadler added 11 and Kwinten Ives scored 10. The boys then destroyed Riverside High School on Thursday, 54-29. Reed Wells finished the game with 16 points to lead the scoring while Chris McCarron added 11 and Kwinten Ives added 10. The boys finished off their perfect week with a blowout win over Maple Shade High School, 70-45. Kwinten Ives led the scoring this time with 19 points, Adonis Jones scored 16 and Jase Jennings finished with 13 points. The boys are now 7-3 on the season and will return to action tomorrow night against STEM Civics.
The Wrestling Team also had a perfect 3-0 week and won the BCSL Freedom Division Championship. The squad dominated Riverside High School on Tuesday, 54-12. Aidan Hines and Cameron Woodard picked up pins on the mat for the Panthers. On Thursday the Panthers hosted Holy Cross High School and Barnegat High School, defeating both of them and clinching the BCSL Freedom Division Championship. The boys crushed Holy Cross High School, 66-18. Trevor Young, Aidan Hines, Zach Warnock, Patrick Daly and Xavier Mourey all picked up pins for the Panthers. The Panthers then defeated Barnegat High School, 50-30 to finish off the night. Trevor Young, Aidan Hines, Elliot Jackson, Zach Warnock, Jesse Domask, Patrick Daly and Connor Falicki all picked up wins on the mat. On Friday the Mat Cats traveled to Lenape High School for the inaugural Burlington County Wrestling Open. Sophomore Trevor Young won the County Championship at 106 pounds! Xavier Mourey captured a 3rd place finish in the county at 215 pounds and Zach Warnock finished in 4th place in the county at 150 pounds. The Winter Track and Field Teams competed in Toms River on Monday and had another fantastic showing. Top 10 finishes included Heather Adams who placed 5th in the shot-put and threw a personal best of 30 feet! Sadiq Cook placed 7th in the hurdles and ran a personal best while Tyree Bull placed 10th in the hurdles and also ran a personal best. Nate Cammack placed 7th and threw a personal best of 41'5". The track and field throwers also competed against the state's and nation's best at Cherokee High School on Tuesday. Top ten finishers were Heather Adams who placed 8th and Nathan Cammack who placed 9th and threw another personal best.

Middle School Wrestling will take on Riverside Middle School on Wednesday and travel to Pennsauken on Thursday for their last matches of the winter.
Boys and Girls Middle School Basketball Teams -Boys defeated Florence and Riverside Middle Schools last week and they will have their last game of the season today against Burlington City. The Girls Team tied Florence Middle School last week and will play Burlington City Middle School today.
