Palmyra High School is full of gratitude to the PHSFEE Foundation. The Palmyra High School Foundation for Educational Excellence (PHSFEE) was formed to act as a Parent-Teacher Group for the High School in 2016 as a 501(c)3 educational foundation.
Three trustees: Vanessa Livingstone- PHS alum 2016, Sonya Litwack-Hart-parent, and Jody Demas-alumni parent, presented a check for Fifteen Thousand Dollars to the High School at the February Board of Education meeting to Dr. Brian McBride-superintendent and Mr. Sean Toner-Board President. The funds are the result of this past year's fundraising efforts that included a Color Run at Charles Street School and because of COVID precautions, a Casi-NO Raffle.
Previous donations have included funds for dedicated Chromebooks in the science department and a complete suite of Canon cameras with supporting equipment for a photography class in the High School. These same cameras are in heavy use in that new class this year with amazing photos being posted throughout the hallways of PHS.
Ms. Sabo, PHS Principal (not pictured) has actively participated in all the PHSFEE events since she began her role here. She is truly grateful for all the support and has worked closely with the PHSFEE team to outline goals and areas of need to be the beneficiaries of the targeted fundraising.
We think it is fitting that PHSFEE is the recipient of our first ever #GratiTuesday here in Palmyra School District and we look forward to all the future events that they are part of. #GratiTuesday is part of our mindful efforts towards social emotional learning (SEL). It has been shown that sharing gratitude can boost mood, improve sleep and set the tone for the days to come. Look for more #GratiTuesdays when warranted in the future! #PalmyraProud #PHSFEE #parentsupport #pantheralumni
