-and NOW from our SPORTS DESK - Athletic Director Mike Papenberg reports: Good Morning Everyone! Only 4 school days to go until spring break! Here is a look at how our student-athletes performed last week in between the rain drops:
The Baseball Team went 1-1 on the week. The boys opened their week with a 19-2 demolition of Moorestown Friends. The Panthers cranked out 17 hits on the day. Steve Peltz and Brandon Howell each had 3 hits. Carson Strobel had 2 hits and 4 RBI’s. Dean Maute, Anthony Morgenstern, Ian Smith, Nate Bachich, Justin Dellisanti, Marques Washington and Alex Ridgway all added a hit for the Panthers as well. Freshman Nate Bachich picked up the complete game win on the mound striking out 9 Foxes. The boys lost a tough one to Maple Shade on Thursday, 9-2. Seniors Carson Strobel and Steve Peltz continued with their hot bats, each contributing 2 hits. Strobel also knocked in a run. Brandon Howell, Anthony Morgenstern and Ian Smith also recorded hits. The Panthers are now 1-4 on the season and will host Pemberton today at Charles Street.
The Softball Team won their lone game of the week, crushing STEM Civics Academy 21-0. Jasmine Martinez had a huge day both offensively and on the mound. Offensively she had 4 hits and drove in 8 runs. As a pitcher she pitched a complete game no hitter, striking out 8. Gianna Guglielmucci, Jisselle Martinez and Mailee Kahana all had multiple hits for the Panthers. Sidney Lim, Elsie Kenson, Grace Stavely and Kaylee Matthews all added a hit as well. The Panthers are now 2-2 on the season and will host Burlington City today at 3:45 at Legion Field.
The Boys Tennis Team earned an impressive win in their lone match of the week, beating Audubon 4-1 on Wednesday. Connor McCann(6-3, 6-1) and Jaden Jennings(6-1, 6-3)won their singles matches. The doubles teams of Jack Timlin/Justin Smyth(3-6, 7-5, 10-3) and Nolan Falicki/Cole McCamy(6-3, 6-2) won their matches. The Panthers are now 3-2 on the season and are currently playing in the Burlington County Open. They will travel to Pemberton tomorrow for their next match.
The Boys & Girls Track & Field Teams ran against Bordentown, Florence and Burlington City on Wednesday.
· Pat Broadbelt and Johnny Hammond ran under 5 minutes in the mile
· Jaleel Latimore jumped 6'2 for the first time
· Mike Kozlowski won the pole vault
Their meet at Cherokee was rained out on Friday. They will return to action this Saturday at the Woodbury Relays.

The Middle School Boys Track & Field Team meet was postponed due to rain. They will run at Helen Fort Middle School in Pemberton today.
