A recent presentation by the Palmyra High School Foundation for Educational Excellence (PHSFEE) was made in the form of a GIANT CHECK! Big in size & heavy in value as the fruits of a year of fundraising done by the 501 (c)3 organization to support projects at PHS. This year's beneficiary will repeat support of the Early College High School & CCP programs which have been very successful at PHS.
Interim Superintendent, Mr. Mark Pease stated that he was honored & thankful to have this organization support our High School. "We are proud to have them working for us & to welcome them to our meeting tonight." PHS Principal, Mr. Dan Licata, welcomed them saying, “They sure do fun fundraising! As a school community leader in the midst of a teacher shortage, the work that PHSFEE does is critical to our team's success and certainly lifts the reputation of our school."
Dr. Scott Warnock, president of the 9-year-old organization, shared his love for the district and appreciation for the education of his own children as well as those of the Palmyra, Riverton & Beverly. “We switched up our successful Casino night for a Derby night this year and wanted to present these proceeds to you.”
A $25,000 check was shared by the organization to Mr. Licata & Mr. Pease. The real bank check was hand-delivered by PHSFEE treasurer, Jody Demas to smiling Business Administrator, Jay Toscano to round out the presentation.
Board President, Sean Toner, thanked PHSFEE for their tireless efforts promoting the successes at PHS as well as their fundraising efforts.
