Congratulations Kaya Robinson!
Kaya has made the most of every minute in Palmyra High School. She is a 3-season athlete & enjoyed her time as the captain of soccer, indoor, & outdoor track where she won 1st Team All-Conference awards for both sports. When not playing sports, she could be found performing on the Palmyra Players' Stage where she has held many leading roles throughout her career. This winter, Kaya was able to further her love of performing & singing when she was invited to sing in the NJ All-State Treble Chorus. Kaya is president of National Honor Society, executive treasurer of Student Council, as well as an enthusiastic participant of Spanish NHS & Interact.
Despite involvement in all of these activities, Kaya is most proud of her initiatives to bring change in the communities around her. She founded a mentoring program within the high school & made a commitment to working with the youth of Palmyra. Kaya also serves as a student representative on Palmyra Borough Council.
Kaya’s passion for progress was not limited to Palmyra, though. In the summer of 2018, Kaya was working hard on a humanitarian aid project in rural Uganda. As a culmination of her dedication to social justice & bettering the world around her, Kaya was awarded the prestigious Princeton Prize in Race Relations Certificate of Achievement. Kaya has big goals for her future & plans to pursue them this fall in the Honors Program at Villanova University where she will major in Mechanical Engineering with minors in Aerospace Engineering & Business.
