The winter season is off and running! Here is a look at how some of our teams have started:
The Wrestling Team opened up their season at Gateway High School on Saturday at the Gator Tournament. The team placed 5thout of 10 teams.
- Trevor Young finished in 1st place at 112 pounds.
- Zach Warnock and Xavier Mourey placed 2nd in their weight classes and
- Jesse Domask took home 3rd place in his weight class.
The Mat Panthers open up their dual schedule at home tonight against Bordentown High School at 6pm in the PHS gym.
The Girls Basketball Team opened up their season with a convincing 48-11 win over visiting Willingboro High School on Friday. Lauren Gilmore led the scoring with 14 points while Sophia Wilburn and Cadence Anderson each scored 10 points. The 1-0 Lady Panthers will travel to Burlington City tomorrow afternoon for a 3:45pm game.
The Winter Track and Field Teams opened their seasons with a meet at the Toms River Bennet Center. Congrats to the following runners that placed in the top 10 in their events:
- Heather Adams in the Girls Shot Put
- Joe Russell in the Boys High Jump and Pole Vault
- Nathan Cammack in the Boys Shot Put

the Middle School Wrestling Team opened up their season with a match against Haddon Township. The squad will return to action tomorrow at Gloucester City Middle School at 430pm. Here are their results from yesterday:
- Match #1 Michael Monroe lost 6-4
- Match #2 Michael Monroe won by Pin in the 3rd period
- Match#3 Chase Moritz won 2-1
- Match#4 Chase Moritz won by Pin in the 3rd period
- Match #5 Nate Collins won by pin in the 1st period
- Match #6 Patrick Broadbelt lost and was pinned in the 3rd period
- Match #7 Patrick Broadbelt lost and was pinned in the 3rd period
- Match #8 Shane Mulherin won by pin in the 2nd period
- Match#9 Nick Rex won by pin in the 1st period
- Match#10 Nick Rex won by pin in the 2nd period
- Match#11 Joe Augusta won 7-0
- Match#12 Rian Austin won by Pin in the 1st period
- Match#13 Rian Austin won by Pin in the 2nd period
