20 May 26 The Palmyra Board of Education has adopted the 2026-2031 Strategic Plan.  The plan has been under construction over the past year with focus groups, stakeholders, faculty, staff and members of the Board of Education.  It was built on the framework of our two previous strategic plans.  Dr. Florencia Norton presented the final version to the full board at their May meeting.  The current plan goes through June 30th 2026 and finalizing this one came ahead of schedule.
Dr. Norton referred to the plan as "our North Star" with Student Achievement & Attendance at the center of the 5 key goals:

• Goal 1: High Quality Teaching and Learning
• Goal 2: Safe, Supportive and Inclusive Climate and Culture
• Goal 3: College, Career, and Life Readiness
• Goal 4: Effective Operations and Facilities
• Goal 5: Family, Community, and Staff Engagement

We have placed the plan on the Superintendent's page until July.  As the slide deck shared online elaborates, the Board will monitor progress through structured annual review and public reporting.  Look for more information in the months to come on our website.  #PalmyraProud of the work that went into this clean and dynamic plan.
