A BLUE Day of Support for our Maple Shade Neighbor

Posted Date: 06/04/26 (05:40 PM)

A young baseball player smiles, with text encouraging support for Xavier on Friday, June 5th, to wear blue.

As news reports have shared, young Maple Shade resident Xavier Taylor was injured on May 26 when he was hit in the neck by a baseball during pregame warmups. He is being treated at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Since the accident, many schools & baseball teams (including the Trenton Thunder) have united together to support the family.  The Ben Franklin Bridge was washed in Blue  along with Camden City Hall. This Daily Voice article online shares more details of the accident and the aftermath.

Friday June 5th, Teachers from across NJ along with many students will be wearing BLUE to share that educators support students through today & helping them believe in tomorrow.  Friday June 5th Palmyra Staff & Students at DAS, PHS & PMS are invited to wear blue to show our #XAVIERSTRONG support.  (Since CSS has their Fitness Day tomorrow, CSS staff & interested students will be wearing #XAVIERSTRONG Blue on Monday, June 8th)

#Palmyra Proud of the love we share in Palmyra.
